Welcome to the gavin baker schools cup

This is our first annual primary schools cup.

History - Who is Gavin Baker?

Kirsty and Duane Baker are long standing supporters of the Club (Kirsty having attended her

first match aged 8 weeks in 1990). Their son, Gavin, was born 21st August 2008 in Colchester

General hospital weighing 1lb 14 ozs (14 weeks early) and was immediately trasferred to

Addenbrookes Hospital into their Neo-natel Intensive Care Unit (NICU). He spent the next three

months in their care before being transferred back to SCBU in Colchester, after increasing his body weight to just over 7lbs.
Unfortunately though he caught an infection and was rushed to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington on the 18th December and passed away the following day.

This Cup is being held in Gavin's memory and all donations collected will be forwarded onto to the Neo-natel Intensive Care Unit at Addenbrookes where he spent much of his short life.
